Poco is all set to officially launch its new 5G smartphone, Poco M8 5G, in the Indian market today. The smartphone will be unveiled at 12 noon, although it is not yet clear whether a dedicated launch event will be held. The Poco M8 5G will be available for purchase in India via Flipkart and Poco’s official website. The smartphone will come in Carbon Black, Glacial Blue, and Frost Silver color options.

The smartphone will feature a 6.77-inch 3D curved display with a 120Hz refresh rate, 1080 × 2392 pixel resolution, and up to 3200 nits peak brightness. It will also support Wet Touch 2.0, allowing smooth usage even with wet hands.
The Poco M8 5G will run on HyperOS 2 based on Android 15. The company has promised four years of OS updates and six years of security updates.
Under the hood, the device will be powered by the Snapdragon 6 Gen 3 chipset. According to Poco, the smartphone has achieved an AnTuTu score of over 825,000. It will come with 8GB of RAM.
In terms of photography, the phone will feature a dual rear camera setup with a 50MP primary sensor, while the front will house a 20MP selfie camera.
The Poco M8 5G will pack a 5520mAh battery supporting 45W fast charging and 18W reverse charging. Additionally, the device will come with an IP66 rating and military-grade drop protection certification.
